How To

Repairing A Drone's Damaged Motor

It is important to first identify which motor part is damaged before you can repair it. To do this, remove the propeller and motor shaft. Then, you need to remove any wires connected to the motor and inspect its inner workings. If you find something wrong, it is time to identify the problem.

You don't need to worry if there's no damage to your motor. However, a motor that looks like the one below will require you to replace certain components before you can fly again.

Suppose a motor has been bent up so it won't turn anymore. The motor must be bent again. To hold the engine, use a pair pliers or a vice grip. After you have completed this step, be sure to inspect the motor for any signs of wear.

Once you're satisfied that everything's ok, put the propeller back onto the motor shaft and reattach the wires. Your drone is now ready to fly!
