How To

What is a "Battery Pack" and how can it be replaced?

A battery pack is the main power source for the motors of your drone. They are powerful enough to keep your quadcopter flying safely and smoothly.

When you buy a new drone, you probably won't notice any difference between the old battery pack and the new one. Over time, however, your battery pack may start to wear down. The battery pack may eventually stop working. To ensure your drone continues to operate properly, you'll have to replace its battery pack.

It is recommended to use the original replacement part when replacing a battery. You could endanger your drone's safety by using a faulty replacement part.

These steps will help you replace your battery pack.

  1. Disconnecting the battery connector cable is a good idea. This will ensure that your drone does not receive any current. Simply pull the cable from the drone to disconnect the battery connector.
  2. Unscrew the battery. Take the battery pack out of the bottom part of your quadcopter. The battery usually separates into two parts.
  3. Locate the contact points. Look for the contacts after you've removed your battery pack. These small metal pins connect the battery to the rest of the components inside the drone.
  4. Install the battery. Next, attach the new battery to the drone. You will need to align the battery connectors from both ends of the battery package. After that, attach the battery pack to the drone. Once done, tighten the bolts holding the battery pack in place.
  5. Reattach the battery connector cable. Reconnect the battery connector cable after you have installed the new battery pack.
  6. Test the drone. Test the drone once more to make sure it is working correctly. If it does, congratulations!
